Robert was born and raised in the mean streets of Harlem, New York. At a young age, his mother noticed how athletic her son was and introduced him to the game of basketball. She would drop him off at Kennedy Community Center in Harlem and where he would continue to learn and master his game. He was a big part of the teams that almost pulled major upsets at the Mullaly Tournament in the Bronx (1994 - 1995). Robert suffered a life altering event in his life when his mother passed away while he was only 10 years old. His aunt, Romona Maynard stepped in raised Robert like her own. She did an excellent job as Robert has turned out to be a shining example of what a positive role model should be. In 2001, Robert lead his team to the M.I.A. Championship and was awarded the Most Christian Like Award for his exemplary performance on and off the court. He graduated from Rice High School and is now attending University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. He hopes to pursue his dream of becoming a T.V. Broadcaster for collegiate, semi-pro and professional indoor/or outdoor sporting events. |
