Odell always wanted to give back to the Harlem community once he graduated from college. He wanted to teach young people the values that he was taught by his parents growing up. Odell took his knowledge and ability to help others and to show that you can be someone.
In 1999, Odell joined the volunteer staff of the Saturday Basketball at Kennedy Center. He focused most of his time on the younger groups (6 - 8) teaching them basic fundentals such as passing, dribbling and shooting. He also took the time to do one on one sessions with some of the older players to help them improve their game and get them to the next level. Odell's greatest passion was to see players take the knowledge he provided and put it to use on the court.
In 2003, Odell decided to pursue his dream of owning his own business. His love for children still burns deep. Odell was truly an individual that preached "Hard Work" to all his players.
