Arthur Simmons

In October 1993, Arthur was part of the staff that established the ground work for the present day Gladiator Sports program. Arthur was primarily responsible for the 13 - 15 year old group. He coached this team in several tournaments including Scan - Mullaly and Jr. Knicks YMCA tournaments located in the Bronx and Manhattan. Arthur also coached the 6 - 8 year old group that was involved in several championship games in 1994 - 1995.

In 1998, due to business commitments, Arthur left something he loved. Although he was not there physically, his mark was left on the program spiritually. Arthur has such a cool demeanor about him. He would walk into a room quietly, take notes, analyze a situation and then speak his mind and take action. Arthur states, "I had a wonderful 6 years teaching basketball as well as demanding the best of our kids. I hope that the lessons taught will carry with them throughout their lives". We are proud to have Arthur Simmons inducted into the Gladiator Sports Hall of Fame.
