The Gladiators travelled to Philly once again with payback on their minds.

(11 - 13U)

The rivalry between the Boys and Girls Club of NE Philly and Gladiator Sports continues to wage on as Philly posted a 42 - 39 victory over the Gladiators. Deondre Crumell finally stepped up his game and is starting to become the point guard that the Gladiators have envisioned for quite some time. Nile Lewis continues to be a monster on both ends of the court. Philly's 3 point shooting as well as clutch free throw shooting was the different in the game as the Gladiators were unable to guard the perimeter effectively enough to secure the victory.

(14 - 16U)

In yet another heartbreaker, the Gladiators fell short in Overtime to Philly, 63 - 62. This was a 1 point loss despite playing without starters Chris Craig and Jeremiah Aska. Several factors contributed to this loss including arguing amongst themselves, missing critical free throws and not capitalizing on opportunities that presented themselves.

Philly exposed the Gladiator defense by using penetrating drives to the basket and passes to the open man. Despite everything that went wrong, the Gladiators still had opportunities. With seconds to go and the Gladiators down 2, Coach Tony called a play for Brian Delgado who pretty much had his way with Philly. He was able to get the shot he wanted but miss fired. With 1 second on the clock, Cyrano Parsons collected the offensive rebound converted on putback to send the game into Overtime.

In the overtime both teams went back and forth. On a close call, Dante Afflick who playing excellent defense all game, stripped Philly's point guard and was on his way to a go ahead basket but the ref called a reach in foul. That Philly on the line for the game sealing free throws. In a last ditch effort Cyrano Parsons attempted to pull off another miracle but his full court heave hit off the front rim.

(9 - 11)

Michael Kelly, Shaquille Hicks and Tre' Carter lead the Gladiators to an impressive 30 - 19 over the Philly Chargers. The defense of the Gladiators caused numerous turnovers that were converted into easy buckets. Ball movement in the offensive sets was the best it had been all season.

(6 - 9)

In the most exciting game of the day, Jamel Jones and Phillepe Guzman lead the Gladiators to a thrilling 10 - 9 victory over the Philly Chargers. The Gladiators jumped out to a early 6 - 0 in the 1st half. In the 2nd half the Chargers were able to storm back with renewed energy. The defense of Justin Williams and Quintin Kornegay was the difference in the game and allowed the Gladiators to hold off that late surge.
